In small African villages the road is especially tough for little girls and young women who often become primary care givers of younger children because of the death of their parents from disease and poverty. Little Dresses for Africa is a Christian 501c3, providing humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable of God’s children: little girls. These dresses, made by volunteers from around the world, go out as little ambassadors to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy. As relationships are built, projects are completed through clean water, education and community.
Immanuel sewers sent 486 dresses in 2023! If you can do basic sewing you can help - premade kits are available that make 6 pillowcase dresses each. Pick up a kit at the Welcome Desk in the Atrium. Donations of pillowcases, rickrack, bias tape and thread are also welcome.
