Holy Communion
Immanuel celebrates communion on the first and third Sundays.
- All children, youth and adults are welcome to come and receive forgiveness in the bread and wine. It is the Lord’s Table - and all are welcome!
- Anyone coming to the Lord’s Table with an open hand will be served Holy Communion.
- Read more about children and communion.
In-Person: The congregation will be invited forward to receive a wafer (served by a gloved pastor) and the wine/juice. Gluten free wafers are available.
At-Home Communion: If you're joining us online we invite you to join us and celebrate this meal virtually. God is with us wherever we are, and God unites us even when we aren’t together physically. Have bread or crackers and wine or juice ready as you participate in our livestreamed worship and connect with your sisters and brothers as we celebrate communion together even when we are apart.
Covid Protocols
As CDC masking guidelines have changed, and positivity rates and hospital numbers have dropped, masking is now optional at worship but still required for Sunday School. We continue to:
- encourage anyone to wear a mask who wishes to or is unvaccinated.
- If you are experiencing any symptoms of illness, we ask that you stay home.
- If you have been at church and then test positive for Covid, please let us know so we can alert others who have been in attendance to monitor their health more closely.
SUNDAY SCHOOL: Everyone who is attending or volunteering with Sunday School is urged to continue wearing masks to protect the children attending who are too young to be vaccinated.
Details: Reopening page.
