Seniors Actively Living Today - SALT

We are all salt of the earth. Seniors definitely fit in this category because we can add flavor to our own lives while enriching the lives of our families. Plan to be a part of this vibrant senior group. Hope to see you whenever you can make an event geared especially to you. Each month we will sponsor an event that will rotate with Learn and Grow, Service and Social.

Past events and activities: Alive and Kickin, musical theatre at Bloomington Center for the Arts, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, day in the park, game days, guest speakers, museum tours, Live shows and bike rides.

How To Stay Sane During Today's Turbulent Times

Thursday, February 5 at 10:30am in Fellowship Hall

SALT invites you to attend our upcoming session. We will feature three presenters discussing how to stay true to ourselves while managing the challenges of our world:

  - Deacon Savannah will discuss our role in social change.
  - Jackie Gethchius will focus on mental health and calming our neurological systems.
  - Pastor Dan will speak on how to discern the news.

Together, we will review how Jesus lived in his own turbulent world and explore practical mental and spiritual strategies. The session will include an interactive discussion to share how we are all coping. Please register HERE.  We hope to see you there and hear your ideas.

Positive Aspects of Aging

Karen West will speak about "The Positive Aspects of Aging". Conscious aging is a mindful and intentional approach to growing older that emphasizes self-awareness, personal growth, and purpose, rather than succumbing to cultural myths of decline or striving for perpetual youth. It views the later stages of life as a rich opportunity for continued development, finding meaning, and becoming a "conscious elder". Lunch available for $10 at the door. Register HERE.
