The holidays can be especially challenging if you are struggling, whether due to a job loss, an illness, or a personal crisis. Bringing joy and financial assistance to those in need will

Bring non-perishable food donations for PROP to Thanksgiving Eve Worship. Most needed items: Hygiene items, breakfast foods, protein, culturally diverse foods, canned fruit, and cooking essentials. Volunteers also needed to deliverdonations to PROP Monday morning, November 30.

Join Deacon Savannah at the Chanhassen Target to help shop with the generous donations from congregation members for gifts for Salem and Redeemer Christmas Stores. Starbucks following for a hot drink to talk about what it means to serve during the holiday season. Sign up online.

Help make Christmas special for a family connected with Cornerstone by sponsoring their holiday gifts. Personalized wish lists provided with gift ideas (recommend $40-$80/ person) for parents and children. Support one person or the whole family! We are also collecting gift cards grocery stores to help with a holiday meal. Help is needed to drop off gifts at Cornerstone December 1st-3rd. Sign up online.

Sponsor a resident of Rezek House (LSS transitional living for young adults). Wish lists provided with a suggested sponsorship of $100-$150 per person. Bring unwrapped gifts to Immanuel. Sign up online.

Support the residents of Onward House this year by putting together a gift basket of personal care items for them. We will provide a wish list of their favorite brands and products, and you put the basket together (suggested budget of $50). Sign up online and baskets can be dropped off at Immanuel.

Immanuel’s 21st annual coat drive is partnering with Salem Lutheran this year to provide coats to the N. Minneapolis community. Please drop off new or gently used coats and
warm winter gear in the boxes by the front office. We are especially requesting youth jackets this year for participants at the Salem Christmas Store. You can also make financial donations HERE and we will buy coats for you.
DEADLINE: December 2, 2026
Donate new gifts valued at $10-$15 for all ages and genders to stock the Christmas Stores at Salem Lutheran & Redeemer Lutheran Churches. At these events children “shop” for Christmas presents for important people in their lives.

Adorn the Christmas tree outside of the church office with hats, mittens and boots which will be donated to the PROP Shop in Eden Prairie. Please avoid thin materials, as they tend to not provide much warmth.
Purchase gifts through the ELCA World Hunger’s “Good Gifts Catalog” to support ministries in nearly 80 countries around the world: Gift ideas include:
•Purchasing a piglet for a family ($30)
•Sponsoring the tuition for a Farmer’s field school ($75)
•Help provide a safe birth for a mother and child ($750)
•Support a Refugee family for 1 month ($200)
•And so much more!
