Emmaus Walks

Tuesdays at NOON, beginning June 9, 2026

“Jesus asked them, ‘What are you discussing together as you walk along?’” (Luke 24:17)

In Luke chapter 24, Jesus joins a pair of his followers along the road and listens as they share with him their uncertainty and excitement around news of his resurrection (not realizing it was Jesus himself walking beside them). As they travel together, Jesus offers guidance and instruction and when, at the end of the day, he breaks bread with them, the followers at last recognize Jesus beside them and their hearts are ignited once more.

Join Deacon Savannah this summer on our own Emmaus walks, as we walk together and share our own wonderings, uncertainties, and anticipations about the world around us, seeking assurance and hope in the resurrection of Jesus. We will meet each Thursday at noon in the courtyard for an hour-long walk around Round Lake. Bring your prayers, ponderings, and walking shoes, as we meet one another on the road.
