Dan is Immanuel’s brand new (as of August 2023) Associate Pastor. He is called to innovate ways of doing adult faith formation and fellowship and deepen the already robust culture of hospitality. Dan has been working in ministry since 2003 when he thought he would try working at a Bible camp, Camp Onomia to be specific, where he often saw many campers from Immanuel Lutheran! Since then he’s worked as a youth director, community meals coordinator, house cleaner, group home care provider, and most recently an ordained minister. His previous calls were as the Pastor of Youth and Family Ministry in Brandon, SD and Associate Pastor at Vista Lutheran in Saint Louis Park.

Dan is married to Dorisa (they met at camp in 2005) and they have two kids Oskar and Elena. Dan loves stories of all kinds found in books, movies, TV shows, music, etc. He likes to run, golf, play music, listen to music and podcasts, drink coffee, go to concerts and sporting events (mostly basketball games). He is especially devoted to the Minnesota Timberwolves even though they have done almost nothing to warrant this level of loyalty, but he is sure this is the year they really turn things around…

FUN FACT: He did his pastoral internship in Anchorage, AK.
