Women's Small Groups

Each study group listed below follows a different study. You may join any of them at any time. Feel free to connect with the contact person below with any questions.

Saturday Morning Bible Study: Contact Person: Carol Swanson
This study group meets the first Saturday of each month at 9am at Immanuel in the library. (September’s meeting will be September 10th.) Each monthly study is self contained. September will finish the study on Fruits of the Spirit. October will start a new study on “Great Women of the Bible.”

Monday Morning Prayer and Praise: Contact Person: Kim Rathjen kim@immanuel.us  
This group meets Mondays from 10 – 11:30 am at Immanuel in the library when Eden Prairie Schools are in session. The study will focus on the lectionary texts that will be read the following Sunday in worship.

Meets on the third Monday of the month at 12:00 pm at the restaurant in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Bloomington (southwest corner of 494 and Normandale Blvd.)

Ruth Circle: Contact Person: Jane Ann Nicholls nichollsjane@msn.com  
This group meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 PM in group members’ homes. Bible study material comes from “Lutheran Women Today”. This year’s focus will be on the Gospel of Mark.

This group meets on the second Thursday of the month 7:00 – 8:30 PM in the library at Immanuel. Bible study material will be from “Lutheran Women Today”. This year’s study will focus on the Gospel of Mark.

WomenSpirit: Contact Person: Pastor Susan Weaver susan@immanuel.us  
This group meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 7pm at Immanuel. The focus of this group is an intentional development of our relationship with God through various spiritual disciplines with a special focus on prayer. This year, WomenSpirit is reading and discussing Sacred Rhythms: Arranging our Lives for Spiritual Transformation by Ruth Haley Barton.
