2012 Giving to our General Fund. God created us for relationships, so that love might be given and received, between ourselves and God, and between one another. And as relationships are built on the gifts of love, time, attention, compassion and grace we give to one another, and God created us for relationship, we can well and truly say that God created us to give! Genesis 1:27 reminds us of this fact that we are created to give when it proclaims that we are created in the image of God, who is the first and best giver. In 2nd Corinthians 9:6-15, the Apostle Paul proposes that God gives abundantly to us so that we in turn may share abundantly with one another. Even more, Paul suggests that giving is one of the most joyful acts of life, because when we give, we are living into the purpose for which God created us. When we give, we are living for one another. On Sunday, November 20th, we renew our commitments to God and one another as we joyfully give and share what God has given to us, ourselves, our time, and our wealth. Prayerfully consider how God is inviting you to give, to grow and to serve through your pledge and offering at Immanuel, then return your pledge card in worship on Nov. 20th or follow the link and fill out your pledge card online. You can submit your pledge (estimate of giving) in several ways:
