Sunday School

Immanuel is a place where children grow in faith!

Sunday School:

Sunday School at Immanuel is called God's Garden - it is a place where children come to grow spiritually! Sunday School is offered three times/month, September - May at 2 different hours:
   9:30am - 10:30am, and
   11:00am - 12:00 noon

Register for Sunday School online.

Once a month is "Everybody Worship Sunday." There is no Sunday School on these Sundays so that children who might not normally attend worship have the opportunity to do so.

3 years - Kindergarten: Children learn Bible stories and truths in an experiential setting using Group's Hands on Bible Curriculum. Sunday School is REAL: relational, experiential, applicable and learner based, so that kids can grow to know Jesus!

1st - 4th Graders Enjoy the Workshop Rotation Model: 1st-4th grade students concentrate on one story from the Bible over a three week period. The story is explored each week from a different angle. Students participate in a different workshop each week, actively experiencing Bible truths through a variety of learning styles. Workshops are active, creative, and because kids are enjoying themselves, they say it is fun! Details can be found in the Workshop Rotation Handout.

5th and 6th grade students meet together with the same caring adults each week. The focus for this age group is building relationships and encouraging learners to grow in a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Volunteers: Children's Ministry is a significant part of Immanuel's overall ministry. Volunteer opportunities are available for people of all ages and with varying amounts of commitment. If you feel led to become involved in Children's Ministry at Immanuel, please contact Kim Rathjen, Director of Children and Family Ministries, at the church office and we can discuss how you can serve God by serving children.
