Adult ChoirsFestival Choir: Short Term Commitment OpportunityThere are many singers in our midst that love to make music, but for one reason or another are not able to commit to a full season participating in a scheduled music group. Watch this area for Events! Mothers and Daughters Sing together in Worship on May 20 Mothers and daughters (grades 4-12) are invited to sing a simple hymn melody together in our 9:30 worship service. We will meet at 9:00 in the sanctuary for a brief rehearsal. (There will be an optional rehearsal on Wed. May 16 from 5:30-6:10) The melody you will sing is accompanied by our Reformation Choir, orchestra and brass ensemble as we sing the opening movement of Cantata 169 by J. S. Bach in worship that day. Music is available on a table just outside of the music room.If you have additional questions, please email gary@immanuel.us Reformation ChoirOur adult choir, Reformation Choir meets on Wednesdays 7:30-9:00 (7:45 during Lent) and on most Sunday mornings at 8:30. This choir sings a wide variety of sacred choral art music, and can be heard at most of the 9:30 worship services. We also present major choral works and cantatas a couple of times per year. It is not necessary to make a commitment for the entire year in order to participate. Reformation Choir Calendar: (Ref) indicates Reformation Choir activity (Reh) indicates rehearsal (Wor) indicates singing in worship (WU) indicates warm up time.
